Some had wondered if this reported acquisition would void the contract the city had entered with Republic Parking, or if any aspect of the contract had been violated.
"There wasn't a sale of Republic Parking," Rumley said. "What occurred is that another entity, which is Imperial, purchased stock in Republic but Republic itself and its management team, etc. was left intact ... if they violated the contract we would have held them in breach but there wasn't sufficient facts in order for the city to make that type of allegation."
