Andrew J. Wells faces 3 counts of child porn posession

HARVARD – City Clerk Andrew J. Wells was arrested Monday on child pornography charges.
Wells, 54, of Harvard, was charged Monday with three counts of possession of child pornography – each a Class 3 felony. McHenry County Sheriff’s detectives had been investigating the man for three months after they received a tip from a resident.
Police said images containing child pornography were found on an electronic device that belonged to Wells. He was arrested at his office Monday and was taken to McHenry County Jail, but he has been released on bond, police said.
