vetting the Muccini-Burke transition team

CONCLUSION OF LENGTHY TEN MINUTE SPEECH
I like Neil Osborne, but he's already on the City's Community Development
Board appointed by outgoing Mayor McGlynn. That's unnecessary
redundancy, all due respect Mr. Osborne. A new face or two or three
from the African American community would be welcome, not more of
McGlynn's comrades.
But
this essay comes from logic. If I am one of Mrs. Burke's 58,000
partners in progress, she will listen. Because I am now one of her
harshest critics - and older than her, she has an obligation to listen
to me. Is the mayor elect vindictive or open to other ideas? That's
what partnership means, it isn't a dictatorship, and with the slim
margin of alleged victory, she hardly has a mandate.
